March 2008

"We sing the praise of war. Not for the way it makes people die, but for the way it makes people come alive."

The highly anticipated new album by the Swedish duo is finally upon us, under the title "Omne Ensis Impera". The sense of determination that echoes through their music and which has brought them to the forefront of Martial / Industrial Neo-Classical scene has stayed untouched, evoking the sense of duty and commitment that Italy's WWI elite storm troops, from which the name Arditi originated, were known for.

"Omne Ensis Impera" introduces an additional strength to Arditi's compositions - epic orchestral loops and thunderous percussions are granted a more prominent role, stirring the damp and suffocating ambiance that the duo have always produced so well with their use of ominous synths, obscure speeches and mesmerizing narrations.

Similarly, shades of the Italian Futuristic movement of the early XXth century, which served as inspiration in the early days of the project, remain imprinted in Arditi's work - "Omne Ensis Impera" could well be a modern interpretation of the Futurist's goal of glorifying warfare to an artistic expression beyond its inherent violence and intrinsic sense of heroism.

"Omne Ensis Impera" has been mastered by Kamrat Nordvargr of Mz.412 and Toroidh, an old ally of the band. Nordvargr has also contributed with additional arrangements on a couple of tracks, and prepared a slightly modified track list, which will feature on the vinyl version of the album that will follow soon, together with a limited edition box set. The CD version is presented in a deluxe glossy Digipak, with embossed artwork.

July 2007

A quick update to announce that work on the new Arditi full-lenght is nearly
complete. The album remains untitled to date, but release is expected to
take place before the end of the year.

A small taster of this new work can be found on Marduk's latest album, "ROM
5:12", which includes the track "1651", composed by Arditi.

In the meantime, the debut album "Marching on to Victory" is now available
again, this time presented in deluxe Digipak edition, with new artwork and 2
bonus tracks - a new version of "Sturm V" and "Divina Patria", previously
included on the now sold out "United in Blood" 7"EP.

September 2006

"Marching on to Victory" will be made available again around early November by Equilibrium Music.

The re-issue of Arditi's debut album, originally released in 2003 on Svartvintras and sold out f or a couple of years, will be presented in Digipak format in a remastered edition with bonus material.

May 2006

"Standards of Triumph", Arditi's 3rd full length album, is now available in both 12" LP (a limited edition of 500 copies, pressed in heavy vinyl and coming in gatefold cover with an A2 poster) and Digipak CD.

Boasting the unique personality of this Swedish combo, "Standards of Triumph" taps further into the darker tones of Militaristic Neo-Classical ambiance that has become the band's trademark, resulting in their strongest effort so far - ever effective in their use of crushing orchestrations and evocative speeches, Arditi hereby drags the listener around muddy trenches, leaving aside overly pompous festive marches or alcohol fueled merry bunker songs which seem to have become the norm as of late, and casting an hypnotizing veil over the turmoil of warfare-inspired Industrial soundscapes.

Limited boxset editions of both CD and LP formats are also available (only 50 copies of each format will be done), consisting of:

- the "Standards of Victory" album (in CD or LP)
- the "Destiny of Iron" 7"EP
- an Arditi standard
- postcards
- an A2 poster
- wooden box, with engraved Arditi logo

Orders are being taken via orders@equilibriummusic.com.
